Sunsets, Bakes & the Start of Springtime

by - Thursday, March 10, 2016

Hello friends!

I hope you're all having a super week. The past few weeks for me have been full of bakes, baths & apparently lots of sunsets - I hadn't even realised I was taking so many photos of them until I rounded up these photos!

Driving home from work and being able to see across the fields for half the journey home is just amazing - I love it when you really start to see that spring and summer are just around the corner. I will miss seeing the owls swooping overhead but my love of lighter evenings and boredom of not being able to shoot in the week far outweigh that!

Washing. Hanging. Outside. Can I say it again?

The best feeling ever - I'm not going back now. Apart from the second time I hung some outside this year the line snapped and pulled everything out of my hands and I shamedly slumped back inside to hang it on the horse - but we have a shiny new line waiting to be installed this weekend - is it sad that I can't wait to use it!? It really is the little things... especially the ones that give me excuses to be outside at this time of year!

I'm so in love with this: for a Christmas present P nicked all my recipes off the blog and got a cookbook printed!! Isn't that just the sweetest thing? He knows it's always been my dream to write my own cookbook and he wanted to show me how possible it could be - it now sits proudly in the kitchen reminding me how much I want to achieve my goals.

Sun streaming in - need I say more?

And some snaps from the making of my Ultimate Chocolate Cake - which is now published, have you seen?

I love this time of year - although I'm getting itchy for it to just hurry up and be springtime, it is still that lovely period where you can have snow one day - sun the next. The air is full of promise and you appreciate every extra minute you get of daylight each day - this time of year is definitely the time to be grateful for all the good things to come.

Have a wonderful weekend, all.

Much love,
