Sweetie-filled Egg Box Easter Gift

Hello friends!

I hope you're all having a lovely week of sunshine like we've had lately - it's finally starting to feel like real British springtime now we see the sun (almost) each day! The daffodils & hyacinths have been out for a while, but they're starting to be joined by tulip shoots too - a true sign of the middle of spring!

I can't wait to be getting out in the garden properly (preferably with summer bedding plants in my arms) and hopefully there'll be some time and weather over the Easter break for lots of this (sans summer bedding perhaps!)

But for now I've got a lovely little Easter gift you can make in about 10 minutes - it's so easy but looks totally cute and very inviting. I've made these in the past for family that are trying to be good / on a diet so this is the perfect egg alternative because it offers just a little Easter treat.

What you will need:
1 plain egg box (ones with no labels can be found on eBay)
pastel coloured tissue paper scraps
pastel ribbon in two colours
'Happy Easter' stickers (available at craft stores)
small organza bag

gummy fried eggs
Cadbury mini eggs
Cadbury mini creme eggs
Galaxy gold chocolate eggs
or any small Easter sweets of your choice

What to do:
Scrumple the scraps of pastel tissue paper into two opposite wells and fill with the Galaxy gold eggs and the gummy fried eggs. Fill one of the empty wells with the creme eggs. Next, place a small handful of mini eggs into a white organza bag, tie a bow in the ribbon and nestle into the remaining well.

Close the box and tie the two lengths of ribbon around the middle, finishing in a bow.

Lastly, stick the 'Happy Easter' stickers atop the box either side of the ribbon & you're done!

The beauty of this is that you can fill it with whatever you like - so you can make ones that are completely tailored to individual recipients. And who doesn't like getting a personalised gift!?

The other great thing about this is it doesn't really require any craft skills - you only really need to be able to crumple some tissue and tie a bow and you're there! Another great reason that it's perfect for kids to help make, too.
